Dear Members,

Time to plan a new year again and here we send you the APIRS agenda so that you can start 2009 booking the following activities:

1- Summer Course – Digital Literacy Under Focus – January 13th and 14th to be held at PUC ( Building 8 – Technology Lab) from 08:30 to 12:00 and from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
This course will aim at putting together theoretical concepts and practice aiding participants to get acquainted with some technological options available to EFL classes.

Some Of The Topics To Be Covered Are

- Digital Literacy
- Blogs As A Pedagogical Tool
- The Use Of E-Boards In The EFL Class
- Benefits And Drawbacks Of The Use Of The Internet And Other Computer-Related Resources In The Classroom
- Cyber English And Texting
- ‘Cem Sites Sem Tédio’

Fees: 2008 Registrations - Members R$ 25,00 Non-Members R$ 60,00
2009 Registrations - Members R$ 35,00 Non- Members R$ 75,00

You should make a deposit to the APIRS Account at the Caixa Federal - Agência 0443 Conta 003 796.3 and fax the deposit slip in advance to (051) 30197300 c/o APIRS or e-mail it to apirs@terra.com.br . There will be 70 vacancies available and your presence should be booked upon deposit confirmation.

2- Are you in good stand with our association? Remember to update your membership.

3- Stay put in 2009 for there will be several interesting courses and workshops for you to join or lead as well. Keep your backpack light, unpack all negative load, remember the best is always about to be and stick together with us in the faith education is the most precious baggage we can ever carry along to the future.
